Richard was a graduate of Pflugerville High School in 1977 and served in the US Navy from 1977 to 1981.

Prior to the decline in his health, he was committed to his work as an oil rig worker in West Texas, Shipping Foreman at Hart Graphics in Austin, Texas, as Security Officer at T Donn in Hutto and Taylor, Texas and Medical Coder at St. David’s in Austin, Texas.

Richard’s love for the great outdoors was a result of the time in life when he would grab his cap, football, baseball, or fishing pole and be outside all day with his brothers and friends. They would be out from the crack of dawn until the streetlights came on.

All his good deeds were rewarded by the beauty of his family being at his bedside as he took his last breath with no fear and a happy soul.

The family expressed their gratitude for the care provided with the highest level of compassion and dignity to Richard by Dr Timothy R Hines, Sound Physicians Group, and medical staff of Ascension Seton Hospital.
