Lola Waldrep

Longtime Resident of Fort Stockton, Texas, Madeline McDaniel Waldrep was called home to be with her Lord on August 31, 2021. She died at her home in Fort Stockton, Texas surrounded by her loving family. Madeline was born on September 8, 1932, in Hughes County, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents Donald Vaughn and Lois Conditt Cash, her first husband Travis W. McDaniel, second husband Freddy Joe Waldrep and her brother, William Bailey Cash.
She is survived by her sons Jerry W. McDaniel (Sherry) of Odessa, Texas and Garland McDaniel of Fort Stockton, Texas, grandchildren Jeremy McDaniel (Jennifer) of Odessa, Texas and Kelsey McDaniel of Fort Stockton, Texas, and great granddaughter Ellendria (Ella) Chipping of Fort Stockton, Texas. She was also known as "Mom" to Charlotte Williams (Seba) of Mansfield, Texas, Kathy Tarpley (Robert) of DeLeon Texas, Freddie Waldrep II (Sharon) of Morris, Oklahoma, Mary Williams (Carroll) of Lake Leon, Texas, Harold Waldrep (Shirlene) of Willis, Texas and Martha Dowden of Mansfield, Texas and "Mamaw" to many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Madeline was also survived by her sister Elizabeth Smith (Robert) of Corpus Christi, Texas, and brother Jimmy Cash (Betty) of Iowa Park, Texas, together with many nieces and nephews.
Over the years, Madeline had been a caregiver to many within the Fort Stockton area. She was a wonderful and caring person with a true servant's heart. She loved to cook and bake for others, and many enjoyed the pies, cakes, and pastries she would make on a regular basis. She had been a minister's wife for many years, with a love for true southern gospel music.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM and a Celebration of Life service at 2:00 PM on September 2, 2021, at People Church (formerly Gracepoint) at 108 W. 10th St., Fort Stockton, Texas. Rev. Ron Garett of Glendale, Az. and Rev. Alvin Almond of Roswell, NM will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM on September 3, 2021, in Fairmount Cemetery, 1120 W. Ave. N., San Angelo, Texas under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home of The Big Bend, Fort Stockton, Texas.
