Jobita Garcia

February 15, 1927 — November 11, 2020

Jobita Pillado Garcia, age 93, of Fort Stockton TX. Entered the eternal glory of her forever home on November 11, 2020. She was surrounded with loved ones at her side.

Jobita was born February 15, 1927, in Presidio, Tx to Eleuterio and Brijida Pillado. She lived an exceptionally full life; she was married to the one true love of her life for 62 years; together they had 12 children. Jobita invested her lifetime devoted to her husband and children, she thrived being a lifelong homemaker, catering to her large family. She flourished in creating intimate memories around the kitchen table with her elaborate Mexican dishes that live on in family tradition. Jobita will be remembered for having a powerful determination for life, and anyone who knew her knew she loved music and was known for her quick-witted humor, and most importantly for being a gracious and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Andres Suchil Garcia; daughter Eva; sons Michael, James, Thomas and Alfonso (Ponch) and grandson Ray Lee; two brothers and three sisters.

Jobita is survived by her beloved children, sons Luis Garcia and wife Rachel of Mertzon TX; Hector Garcia of Beeville Tx; Rudy and Elma of Portland Tennessee, Saul Garcia and wife Kim of Crane Tx; Andy Garcia and wife Mary of Crane Tx; daughters Rosie Jones and husband James of Hobbs NM, Norma Jaquez and husband Jorge of Dallas Tx; and finally her precious loving granddaughter she saw as daughter Brenda Duran and husband Freddy of Fort Stockton Tx; and two sisters, she has twenty-nine grandchildren, fifty two great grandchildren and thirty five great-great grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.

Though her life has ended, it is not in her death that we should dwell, but instead rejoice and remember her smile and her laugh. We are grateful for the time we were given; grieved by the time we can no longer have; empowered by the knowing that we shall see her again healed and whole.

Special thanks to the entire Hospice team at Heart to Heart of Odessa, the staff at Focus Care of Crane Tx and Doctor Granados of Crane Tx.
