Flavio Y. Chavarria, 90, of Fort Stockton, Texas passed away on August 11, 2022, in Fort Stockton, Texas.
Visitation will be from 2pm to 7pm on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend. Rosary at 7pm at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10am Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, 401 S. Main Fort Stockton, Texas. Burial to follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery.
Flavio was born in Terlingua, Texas to Juan and Cleotilde Chavarria on December 22, 1931. He married the love of his life of 67 years Librada Chavarria on January 29, 1955, in Presidio, Texas. He worked as Building Maintenance for the Fort Stockton School District for 37 years.
Flavio is preceded in death by his parents Juan and Cleotilde Chavarria, sister Mauricia (Wisha) Garcia, Brother Gregorio Chavarria, son in law Desmo Casas and great granddaughter Jocelyn Vargas.
Flavio is survived by his wife Librada Chavarria, daughters Sylvia (Ismael) Rangel, Irma Casas and Ninfa Chavarria, siblings Ricardo Chavarria, Felipe Chavarria and Anita Gonzalez. Grandchildren Ashely (Jr) Vargas, Lacy (Mathew) Barth, Lindsey (Conrad) Duran, Allison (Juan) Subia and great grandchildren Kiana and Xavier Vargas; Ethan and Luke Bart; Layla, Alaya and Ivan Subia. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jr. Vargas, Juan Subia, Conrad Duran, Orlando Chavarria, Joe Ruiz, and Omar Ramirez.
Honorary pallbearers will be Xavier Vargas and Kiana Vargas
