On Saturday, August 22, 2026, Vicente F. Duarte, of Fort Stockton, Texas, passed away at the age of 79.

Viewing will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  with a Funeral Service starting at 1:00 p.m. in the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. 

Vicente was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He was a good and honorable man whose kindness, strength, and love touched the lives of many. He proudly served his country as a United States Marine and later dedicated more than 30 years of service to the Fort Stockton Independent School District, leaving behind a lasting legacy of dedication to both his country and his community.

Vicente leaves behind Juanita Duarte, his beloved wife of 56 years, and their four children: daughter Traci and her husband, Javier Ontiveros; son Vicente Jr. and his wife, Dora; daughter Graci; and son Robert and his wife, Mayra Duarte. Together, Vicente and Juanita built a beautiful family that grew to include ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his three brothers and three sisters, who will deeply miss him and forever cherish the memories, love, and bond they shared. Though he is no longer with us, Vicente's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His life, his love, and the legacy he leaves behind will never be forgotten.
