Veronica Ramirez

Veronica Rios-Ramirez, 64, of Alpine, Texas passed away on May 5, 2023, in Dallas, Texas. Veronica was born in Alpine, Texas to Inez & Teresa Rios on January 22, 1959. Veronica married Sergio Ramirez in March 1981 in Alpine, Texas.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 11, 2023, from 1:00pm – 7:00pm at Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend 301 N. Main St. Fort Stockton, Texas 7973. The rosary will be Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 7:00pm also at Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend. Funeral mass will be Friday, May 12, 2023, at 2:00pm at St Joseph’s Catholic Church 403 S. Main St Fort Stockton, Texas 79735 with Father Francis Njoku officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery.

Veronica is preceded in death by her father Inez D. Rios and mother Teresa Rios and brother Inez Rios Jr.

Veronica is survived by her husband Sergio Ramirez, children Ruby Ramirez Borbon husband Guillermo, Sergio Ramirez wife Zulema; grandchildren Alejandra Zubia, Isaiah Zubia, Jaqueline Borbon, Emmanuel Borbon, Jose Carlos Borbon, Michelle Borbon, Paulina Borbon, and Mercedes Baeza. Veronica is also survived by sisters Lucinda Guerrero husband Timoteo, Venessa Silva husband Manuel, Dorinna Sabino husband Richard, brothers Ruben Rios, Javier Rios and wife Jenny.

Pallbearers will be Isaiah Zubia, Jose Carlos Borbon, Carlos Ramirez, Elias Ramirez, Leopoldo DeHoyos, Timoteo Guerrero, Anthony Guerrero, and Richard Sabino.
