In Loving Memory of Truett Miller Eaton
Truett Miller Eaton, 91, lifelong resident of Fort Stockton, passed away in San Antonio on May 27. Truett was a fun-loving and deeply cherished father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.
Truett was the heart of the Eaton family, a man known for his spirited personality, unwavering love for his family, and his ability to light up a room with his presence.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Lou Eaton; his son, Darrell Dean Eaton; and two grandsons, Cory Hodges and David Eaton.
He is survived by his children: Pamela Dempsey; Carol (Clayton) Parker; DeAndra (Scott) Mooney; Dale (Christine Merki) Eaton. He is also survived by his sister Joyce Kendrick and brothers Horrace(Vicki) and Morrace Eaton, brother-in-law Bill (Leta) Jones and numerous nieces and nephews. He leaves behind a large and loving family, including 14 grandchildren, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, each of whom was blessed by his warmth, stories, and humor. His influence will live on through generations.
Truett will be remembered for the joy he brought into the lives of others and the strong family values he carried with him throughout his life. He will be greatly missed by all who have had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of his life will be held with love, laughter, and remembrance, just as he would have wanted.
Visitation will be held at the Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend, Fort Stockton, TX, on Monday, June 9th from 9am to 11am. Funeral service held at Immanuel Baptist Church 709 N St Gall at 1pm, Gary Dunn officiating. Burial to follow at East Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Grandsons: Brandon Sage; Wesley Lee; Perry Parsons; Chad Mooney. Great grandson: Trevor Wilson; and Son-in-law: Scott Mooney.
Special thanks to the nurses and staff of Juniper assisted living for the care that they gave to him in his final days.
