Socorro Lujan

Socorro C. Lujan, 89, of Los Alamos de San Antonio, Mexico, passed away on November 15, 2022, in her home in Fort Stockton, Texas.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm November 17, 2022, at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton, Texas. Please join us for a rosary at 7:00 pm that evening.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm November 18, 2022, at St. Joseph’s church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home.

Socorro was born in Los Alamos de San Antonio, Mexico to Diego and Luisa Cortez on June 2, 1933.

She loved to be among family and friends, telling stories, watching novelas, playing Loteria, sewing, and praying for her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Diego and Luisa Cortez, husband, Luis Lujan, and brothers, Lorenzo and Vicente Cortez.

Socorro is survived by daughter, Ramona Ibarra, and her husband, Carlos Ibarra, daughter Maria Ybarra, and her husband, Jose Ybarra, brothers, Manuel, Carlos, and Octavio Cortez, granddaughter, Monica Ibarra, and her husband, Hector Ontiveros, granddaughter, Abril Ibarra, and her husband, Edgardo Hernandez, and granddaughter, Angelica Ibarra, and great-grandson, Abelito Hernandez.
