Robert Aaron

Robert Standley Aaron, 73, of Fort Stockton, Texas, passed away on May 15, 2025.

Standley lived a full life rooted in hard work, quiet strength, and a unique sense of humor that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He spent his career in the oil and gas industry, a field that reflected his resilience and dedication. For 25 years, he also served as a proud volunteer with the Fort Stockton Fire Department, giving back to his community in meaningful ways.

Standley is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Aaron; his children, Justin Aaron and wife Stephanie, and Sheena Aaron; his cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Arabella, and Ava Aaron; and his great-grandson, Elijah Aaron. He is also survived by his brothers, Rick Aaron and wife Beth, Chuck Aaron and wife Brenda; and his sister, Barbara Kalich.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Arden Aaron; his mother, Jackie Aaron Wilson; and his brother, Tommy Aaron.

Standley enjoyed the simple pleasures in life: fishing, woodworking, playing the odds at the Windstar Casino, and-earlier in life-spending time on the golf course. He loved afternoons spent sitting outside, watching the hummingbirds and enjoying the occasional thunderstorm.

Known for his dry sense of humor and quick wit, Standley was a regular at The Steakhouse, where he enjoyed countless cups of coffee at "the round table" with friends.

In accordance with his wishes, no funeral service will be held. A private family gathering will take place to honor and remember him.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
