Robert Aaron

June 16, 1951 — May 15, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Standley Aaron, 73, of Fort Stockton, who left us on May 15, 2025. Born on June 16, 1951, Standley spent his life in Fort Stockton, where he not only grew up but also proudly graduated from Fort Stockton high school. He dedicated years of his life to the oil and gas industry and was a valued member of the Fort Stockton Volunteer Fire Department for 12 years.

Standley will be remembered for his enduring generosity and dry wit that left a lasting impression on all who knew him. After retirement, he enjoyed gambling and teeing off on the golf course, but also found joy in simpler pleasures-like casting a line while fishing or sharing coffee with friends at The Steakhouse. He believed in building things, both literally through his passion for woodworking and figuratively through the relationships he nurtured with those around him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Aaron, his son Justin and daughter-in-law Stephanie, his daughter Sheena, and his grandchildren: Andrew, Arabella, Ava, and great-grandchild Elijah. Robert will also be deeply missed by his brothers, Rick (and wife Beth) and Chuck (and wife Brenda), his sister Barbara, and many nieces and nephews who looked up to him.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, John Arden Aaron, mother, Jackie Aaron Wilson, and brother, Tommy Aaron, who he will surely be reunited with beyond this life.

A private service will be held in his honor at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
