Nancy Porterfield

Nancy Irene Porterfield passed away Saturday March 4th, 2016, in Fort Stockton at the age of 53 years. Nancy was born on August 28, 1962, to Richard Nance and Faye Sain Nance in Fort Stockton, Texas. Nancy was born and raised in Fort Stockton, Texas. She was a bookkeeper in the DFW area until she retired and went to live in Canyon Lake, Texas. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and best friend to many and was a loving companion to John Beaver. She fought cancer and beat the odds and was always positive, and hoped to be in the top 10 percent survival for her type of cancer.
Nancy is survived by her son Dusty Porterfield; her brothers, Richard Nance and his wife Lynda of Comanche, Texas, David Nance and his wife Dee of Gilmer, Texas; her sisters: Peggy Foster and her husband Mark of Fort Stockton, Texas, Sandy Faulkenberry and her husband Peewee of Fort Stockton, Texas.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents Richard Nance and Faye Sain Nance; and her sister Deloris Blake.
Memorial service will begin Tuesday at 2pm on March 8th, 2016, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Fort Stockton, Texas.
