Matthew Munoz

Matthew Dominic Muñoz passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015, in Fort Stockton at the age of 25 years. Matthew was born on November 15, 1989, to Armando and Veronica Munoz in Fort Stockton.

Matthew was a hardworking young man. He worked in the oil rigs for several years, then went to work with Harley Davidson in Midland, TX. His whole life revolved around his daughter, Adabelle, family, and friends. Matt enjoyed the outdoors, riding his motorcycle, playing baseball and football, as well as being a gun enthusiast. He was a friend to everyone. He knew no strangers. He loved to help others no matter the time or day. He would give his shirt off his back to give to the needy.

Matthew is survived by his father and mother Armando and Veronica Muñoz; his daughter Adabelle Marie Muñoz; grandparents Manuel Muñoz, Hector Granado, and Josie Peña Granado; his three brothers JJ Muñoz and wife Ana, Zach Muñoz and wife Daniela, and Brandon Lopez; aunt, Emma Muñoz; uncle, Duke Granado and wife Nicky; nephews, Daniel Jacob Muñoz and Christopher Muñoz; and a niece, Paige Lynn.

Matthew was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marie Esperanza Muñoz.

Visitation will be on Saturday October 10th, 2015 from 12 p.m. to 8p.m. and Sunday October 11th, 2015 from 12 p.m. to 5p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in downtown Fort Stockton. Visitation will be moved to St. Agnes Catholic Church at 6 p.m. and rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Monday morning, October 12th, 2015, starting at 10:30 a.m., at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Fort Stockton. Burial will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery.
