Mario was born in Fort Stockton, Texas to Epifanio Ruiz and Herminia D. Ruiz on February 10, 1963.
Mario is preceded in death by his parents Epifanio and Hermina Ruiz, brothers Luis Ruiz, Enrique Durate, Lorenzo Ruiz, Guadalupe Ruiz, and sister Esmeralda Gutierrez.
Mario is survived by his brothers Frank Ruiz, Daniel Ruiz, Fabian Ruiz, David Ruiz, Marin Ruiz; sisters Alicia Jimenez, Linda Carillo, and Eva Riojas.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
