Mexico where she later married Silvestre Perez Hernandez on March 30, 1974, in San Carlos, Coah, Mexico.

Maria is survived by her loving husband of 47 years Silvestre Perez, 3 sons Manuel Andres (Alma) Perez, Silvester (Efren) Perez, and Esteban (Dora) Perez. Grandchildren Lorena, Yakelin, Yoleesa, Valentino, Valerio, Alyah, Belia, Emelie and Mayra Perez.
