Maria Montez

Maria Cruz Montez. passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 at the age of 79. She was born on May 2, 1935 in Buena Vista, Texas to Vicente and Martina Esparza Montez. Maria was a lifelong resident of Imperial, Texas and worked as a Caregiver for Nurses Unlimited for 22 years. Maria was a loving Mother, a hardworking, passionate person, and she will be missed dearly by all her family and friends.
Maria is survived by her son Guadalupe Ramirez, Jr. and wife Rachel daughters, Dolores Navarrette, Lupe Acosta and husband Lucio, Brenda Campos, Benicia Rodriguez and husband Manuel, Donna Franco and husband Ray, Debbie Jackson her brother Jesus Montez . She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 28 greatgrandchildren and 1 greatgreat grandchild.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Vicente and Martina husband, Guadalupe Ramirez, Sr. brother, Jose Montez daughter, Valentine Rodriguez son, Juan Rodriguez grandson, William Rodgers 2 greatgrandsons, Angel Navarrette Vicente Avalos and greatgrandaughter, Selena Sais.
Visitation will take place in Imperial at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 5:307:00 p.m. Rosary will be recited there beginning at 7:00 p.m. A Service celebrating Marias life will take place at the church in Imperial on Thursday morning July 17 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Imperial Cemetery.
