Manuel Frias Garcia of Fort Stockton passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016, in Odessa at the age of 81 years. Manuel was born on April 16, 1934, to Apolinar Garcia and Maria Frias in Marfa.
Manuel is survived by his lifetime companion, Diana Duarte; his daughter in law Pam Queen; his children, May Lou Carrasco and husband Richard of Odessa, Manny Garcia Jr. and wife Rechelle of Fort Stockton, Orlando Garcia and wife Marian of Fallon, NV, Rene Garcia and wife Ann of Euless, TX; his stepchildren, Robert Jimenez of Fort Stockton, and Cecilia Jimenez of Fort Stockton; his two brothers, Felix Lozano and wife Geneviene of San Jose, CA and Hipolito Garcia of Euless, TX; his twenty grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
Manuel was preceded in death by his wife Anna Belle C. Garcia and his son Efrain Garcia.
Visitation will be for both Efrain and his father, Manuel on Wednesday January 20, 2016 from 11a.m. to 7p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in downtown Fort Stockton. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday night. A memorial service for Efrain will take place alongside with his father's funeral on Thursday morning, January 21, 2016, starting at 10:00 a.m., at Saint Agnes Catholic Church in Fort Stockton. Burial will be at 1pm at Santa Rita Cemetery in Sanderson.
