Louis M. Ortega of Fort Stockton passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016 in Odessa, Texas at the age of 50 years. Louis was born on October 16, 1965 to Gregorio and Maria Ortega in Fort Stockton, Texas.

Louis was a member of Ol Timers Baseball, he enjoys baseball, was a huge fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved to travel, and spending time with family. He accepted the Lord in 2012, and enjoyed studying the Bible. He will be greatly missed by his wife, children, mother, sister, brothers, nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins, and friends.

Louis is survived by his wife, Gina Dominguez Ortega; his mother, Maria Milan Ortega of Fort Stockton; his sons, Anthony Ortega of Houston, Louis Ryan Ortega of Fort Stockton; his daughters, Jacqueline Chapoy and her husband Thomas of Fort Stockton, Angelique Castellano of Fort Stockton, Dominique Castellano of Fort Stockton; his brother Manuel Ortega of Fort Stockton, James Ortega of Fort Stockton; his sister, Lisa Hernandez and her husband Sam Hernandez of Fort Stockton.

Louis is preceded in death by his father, Gregorio Ortega; and his brother, Ricky Ortega.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 5th, 2016 from10am-6pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton, Texas. Funeral service will begin at 7:00pm on Thursday, May 5th, 2016, at Casa De Dios E Puerta Del Cielo in Fort Stockton, Texas. Burial will be on Friday at 10am at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery in Fort Stockton, Texas.
