His dedication as a devoted cowboy was matched only by his profound devotion to his family.
To those who knew him, Justo was more than a hard worker; he was a source of love and laughter. As a proud grandfather, he had a unique gift for bringing joy and comfort to everyone around him. His storytelling, rich with the tales of the cowboy way of life, instilled enduring values of kindness and resilience in his grandchildren. He found beauty in life’s simple pleasures, whether it was a breathtaking sunset or the delightful sound of children playing.
The gentle spirit and unwavering love of Justo will forever echo in the hearts of his family and friends. His passing leaves a significant void in the community, where his generous spirit and laughter brought sweetness to countless lives.
He is survived by his adoring daughters, Oneida and her husband Heraclio Perez, and Enedelia and her husband Uriel Villa, who carry forward his vibrant spirit and deep commitment to family. His legacy flourishes through his grandchildren, Elianna Villa, Mariela Cacy, and Alexandra Villa, who cherish him as a beacon of kindness. Justo also took immense pride in his great-grandchildren—Quaylon, Kae’on, McKye, Tanelle, Amaziah, Taron, and Urien—whose presence filled his life with boundless happiness. He stood as an anchor for his loved ones, providing guidance, understanding, and a sense of adventure that lit up their lives. Justo’s brother, Mario Lopez, remembers countless moments of camaraderie shared between them.
He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Rosa Elva Lopez, his partner throughout life, and their enduring bond lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to witness their love. Justo's parents, Alfonso Lopez and Carolina Olguin, along with his brother Raul Lopez, await him in eternity, completing a full circle of love.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Justo’s remarkable life during the rosary service on September 9, 2025, at Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend Chapel in Fort Stockton, Texas, at 7:00 PM. A Mass honoring his extraordinary life will take place the following morning, September 10, at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10:00 AM, followed by his burial at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
