Juan Jose “John Joe” Garcia of Alpine, TX passed away on October 5th, 2022, in Fort Stockton, TX.

A graveside burial will be at 10:00 am, October 22, 2022, at Holy Angels Cemetery with a meal to follow at Our Lady of Peace Parish Hall.

John Joe was born in Alpine, Texas to Daniel and Esperanza Garcia on September 27, 1952.  He went to school at Alpine High School.  He married Elaine Zapata on November 12, 1976. He worked as skilled electrician for most of his career.  John Joe was a friend to all and was always willing to offer a helping hand with any repairs or work that needed to be done.  He will be remembered by his family as the funny, easy-going uncle who loved his family more than anything.

John Joe is preceded in death by his mother and father, Esperanza and Daniel Garcia, sisters, Alicia Aguilar and husband, Alonzo Aguilar and Ninfa Zukevich, and husband Robert Zukevich.

John Joe is survived by his son Sergio Garcia, wife Elaine Garcia, sisters Susanna and husband, Arturo Guevara from Seguin, TX, Sandra and husband, Ruben Zapata from Dallas, TX, Duvy Garcia from Alpine, TX, Rosie and husband, Eli Melendez from Odessa, TX and brothers Billy and wife, Tessie Garcia from Alpine, TX, Reymundo Garcia from San Angelo, TX, sister-in-law Hyon Ah Garcia from San Angelo, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews.
