**Obituary for Jose Alfredo Terrazas Porras**
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Jose Alfredo Terrazas Porras, who left us peacefully on February 24, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on April 28, 1963, in Mexico, Jose was a devoted family man, cherished spouse, and loving father, who called Fort Stockton, Texas, his home.
A proud supervisor in the construction oilfield industry, Jose had a unique passion for life. He was known for his warm smile, love for his goats, and his knack for cooking delicious chicharrones and asado, gathering family and friends around the table to enjoy the feast. Jose particularly treasured his time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who held a special place in his heart.
He is survived by his doting wife, Maribel, whom he affectionately referred to as "hey babe," and his loving children: Jesus Calderon (Selina), Edna Villarreal (Robert), Geomar Calderon, and Jacob Calderon (Abigail). He leaves behind a rich legacy of family, including 20 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved siblings: Luz Elena Martinez (Arturo), Guadalupe Terrazas (Irma), Angelica Arroyo (Alfonso), Anna (Jaime) Lujan, Ramon Adan Terrazas (Eva), and Nestor Daniel Terrazas (Griselda).
He is preceded in death by his, paternal grandparents Guadalupe Terrazas and Rafaela Carrasco maternal grandparents Faustino Porras and Luz Pando.
Family and friends are invited to join us in honoring Jose's life. A public viewing will take place at the Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend Chapel on March 3, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM, with a special family viewing at 9:00 AM. Later that evening, a Rosary will be held at the same location at 7:00 PM.
The following day, March 4, 2026, a Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, followed by a graveside service at the Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery at 12:00 PM. Jose will be laid to rest, surrounded by the love he shared throughout his life.
In honor of a man who lived life to the fullest and touched so many hearts, we invite you to share in the memories and stories that celebrate the vibrant spirit of Jose Alfredo Terrazas Porras. Rest in peace, dear Jose. You will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
