Jose Leyva

Jose H. Leyva of Fort Stockton passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018, in Fort Stockton at the age of 86 years. He was born on August 6, 1931, in Mexico, to Juan Leyva and Leandra Hernandez.

Jose is survived by his sons, Julian Leyva of Fort Stockton, George Leyva and wife Christine of Fort Stockton; daughters, Angie Quiroz of Fort Stockton, Ermy Munoz and husband Mike Munoz of Fort Stockton; brothers, Ramon Leyva, Humberto Leyva, Arturo Leyva, Ruben Leyva, Auden Leyva, sister; Rita Valenzuela; 20 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife; Anita S. Leyva; parents, Juan Leyva and Leandra Hernandez; brothers, Lucio Leyva, Epimenio Leyva; sister, Andrea Sarabia and great-grandson Devon Andrew Quiroz

Pallbearers are Hugo Lujan, Fernie Gomez, Michael Quiroz, Nathan Lujan, A. J. Soto, Dominic Leyva, Jonathan Gomez, and Julian Leyva Jr.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Heritage Funeral Home from 10am-7pm, with a Rosary at 7. Funeral will be Monday, July 16 at 10am at St. Joseph's with burial to follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery.
