Jo Ann Miller passed away peacefully from this life to meet her Savior on January 1, 2024, at the age of 88. She was born on October 18, 1935, in San Antonio, Texas to her parents Alvin Lee Burkhardt and Viola Mae Burkhardt.

Jo Ann had fond memories of her humble childhood growing up in Freer, Texas and eventually graduated as Salutatorian at Three Rivers High School in 1954. She attended San Antonio Business school for a year before meeting her husband Charles Neil Miller. Jo Ann and Charlie were married on April 16, 1955, and together they had 5 children. With Charlie working in the oilfield, JoAnn enjoyed the simple years of raising her children, making their clothes, teaching them to cook and most importantly, making sure the family was at church every Sunday. Jo Ann began teaching Sunday school and loved to read her bible, praying for and with others, spending time with family. She continued to teach Sunday school for the rest of her life where she felt led to teach the children about her Lord Jesus Christ. Known to always have a smile on her face, Jo Ann’s laughter was contagious. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, always putting others first. She had the most generous and loving heart and touched many lives with her presence. "To know her was to love her." Jo Ann is survived by her daughter Linda Miller and Dan Wartman of Midland; son, Doug Miller and wife Sheron of Monahans; daughter, Beverly Ammann and husband Steve of George West; son, Charlie Miller and wife Gail of Lamesa; daughter, Carol Gonzalez and husband Alex of Fort Stockton; sister, Betty Collavo of Fort Collins, Colorado; sister-in-law, Betty Starr of Bryan and two nieces; 14 grandchildren, Sandra Barnett, Tammy Halfacre, Carrie Johnson, Candice Pedraza, Rachel Doran, Alison Miller, Kristi Bradley, Lindsey Royal, Kyle Ammann, Bryan Rainwater, Blake Miller, Brennan Miller, Alec Milam, Summer McCloskey; two nephews, Austin Collavo and Travis Collavo; 23 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
