Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, August 20, 2026 at Heritage of the Big Bend Funeral Home (301 North Main Street Fort Stockton, Texas 79735) with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday, August 21, 2026 at Saint Agnes Catholic Church-Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish (4094 North State Hwy. 18 Fort Stockton, Texas 79735) with interment to follow in Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery.

Jesus “Jesse” Alvarado, age 66 of Alvin, Texas, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas. Jesse was born May 26, 1960 in Alpine, Texas and was a resident of Alvin for 31 years formerly of Imperial, Texas. He worked for 44 years for Energy Transfer as a senior gas controller, was a member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Alvin and was 4th Degree in the Knights of Colombus Council 6403 in Alvin. Jesse is preceded in death by his father, Alfredo Alvarado; brother, Sammy Ramos; son in law, Raul Rojo.

Jesse is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sylvia Alvarado; daughters, Jesika Rojo and Sonia Ramirez; sons, Marc Alvarado and Erick Blandon; mother, Irene Miranda and husband Teodoro; sisters, Lillian Deleon and husband Lorenzo, Alisa Morado-Rodriguez and Irene Ramirez; brothers, David Alvarado and wife Sildia, Alfredo Alvarado; grandchildren, Nyssa Alvarado-Sanchez, Kevan Rojo, Evan Rojo, Emery Rojo and John Perez; along with numerous extended family and friends.
