Harry Ferguson Iii

Harry Edward Ferguson III of Fort Stockton passed away Wednesday April 19th, 2017, in Fort Stockton at the age of 62 years. Harry was born on March 11, 1955, to Harry Edward Ferguson Jr. and Olga Mello in Eagle Pass, Texas.
He was known as "Mr. Ed" to everyone who knew him. He loved his family, and did re-enactments at the Fort. He was a part of "The Pecos River Gang" who provided shootouts on Living History Days. He worked at Wallace Lumber and was in charge of the nursery there. He played Santa Claus each year for the City Parade, as well as going to Special Needs Classes to give the children a hands on visit with Santa. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He worked for the Historic Fort Stockton as a landscaper for the Fort, Museum, and other historical sites on town. He would even pass out flyers to tourists who happened by after hours when he was irrigating the grounds.
Harry is survived by his wife, Gayle Kring; his sons, Michael Ferguson and wife Caroline of Eagle Pass, James Lannom of Fort Stockton; his daughters, Sarrah Ferguson Flores and husband Alex of Eagle Pass, Summer Ferguson of Fort Stockton; his brother, Joseph Ferguson and wife Annabelle of Eagle Pass; his sisters, Roxie Ferguson Garza de Haro and husband Eddie of Austin, Katherine Ferguson Grosskopff and husband John of San Antonio; and his nine grandchildren.
Harry is preceded in death by his parents.
A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
