George Contreras

George Contreras, 74 years old passed away on April 07, 2023, in Kansas City, Missouri.

Visitation will be Monday, April 17, 2023, from 11:00AM – 7:00PM at Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend 301 N. Main St. Fort Stockton, Texas 79735.  Recitation of rosary will be Monday, April 17, 2023, at 7:00 PM also at Heritage Funeral Home of the Big Bend.  Funeral mass will be Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at 10:00AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church 403 S. Main St. Fort Stockton, Texas 79735.  Interment to follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery.

George was born in Monahans, Texas to Cipriano Contreras and Clara Stires on January 04, 1949.  George attended schools in Alamogordo, New Mexico.  George did 4 years of apprenticeship to become a sheet metal worker. In 1977 he became a journeyman with the local union # 2 in Kansas City, Missouri.

George is survived by daughter Bianca Contreras and stepdaughter Kendra Arnold; grandchildren Melina Cole and Aiden Soto; nephew Kenny Contreras; nieces Lisa and Tina Contreras. Sisters Rachel Bueno and Minnie Stires- Bueno; brothers Jerry Contreras and Jimmie Scott.
