Eldon Ray Lee, 86, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013 in the Fort Stockton Nursing Center in Fort Stockton, Texas. He was born April 5, 1927 in Brownwood, Texas to Ray Allen and Edith May Burleson Lee. Eldon married Cleta Winona Ramsey in Pampa, Texas on December 24, 1948 after a brief service in the U.S. Navy at the end of WWII. Eldon and Cleta began their lives together in Seagraves, TX where their two sons were born. Eldon was transferred with his job to Denver City, TX where his daughter was born. They ultimately made Fort Stockton their home. Eldon spent the majority of his career in the oilfield and ended his career as a plant operator for Hunt Energy. He enjoyed arrowhead hunting, fishing and reading about the Cowboys and Indians from his favorite author, Louis LAmour.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Hazel McCartney, James Alvin Lee and Xanna Virden.

He is survived by Cleta Lee of Fort Stockton, TX his three children: two sons, Steven and wife, Lucy, of Stephenville, TX, Stanley and wife, Kathy, of Midland daughter Regina Stafford and husband, David, of Midland brother Arthur AJ Lee and wife, Patricia, of Granbury, TX. Six grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren and a multitude of nieces and nephews also survive.

Viewing will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, 301 N. Main Street, Fort Stockton, TX from 9 am to 1 pm with services immediately following at East Hill Cemetery. He will be interred at East Hill Cemetery in Fort Stockton. Remembrances Condolences may be shared with the family at www.heritagefuneralhomeofthebigbend.com
