Donald Lee Kneupper of McCamey passed away Thursday September 28th, 2017, in McCamey at the age of 88 years. Donald was born on June 15, 1929, to Johnny and Thelma Kneupper in Kendalia, Texas. He attended school at Kendalia and at age 16 he began working at the Catto Gage Ranch. He married the love of his life, Louella Erickmann, in December 28, 1948. They were married for 55 years until her passing in 2003. Donald was a rancher, equipment operator, and oil field pumper at various times, always a hard worker at whatever task. In November 2008, Donald married Mary Lou Jolly. Mary Lou passed away on June 9, 2013.
Donald is survived by his sons, Donald Kneupper Jr. and wife Barbara (Babs) of Fort Stockton, Terry Kneupper and wife Debbie of Rankin, Dennis Kneupper and wife Terri of Odessa, Warren Kneupper and wife Trena McCamey; his daughter, Sherry Bell and husband Bill of Granite Shoals; his brother, Ronald; his sisters, Jewel Edge, Joan West, Faye Schlameus, Johnnie Mae Barnett; his eight grandchildren; and his fourteen great grandchildren.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Louella Erickmann; his second wife, Mary Lou McDonald; his brothers James Kneupper, Rodney Wayne Kneupper; and his sister, Betty Rust.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 4th, 2017, from 5-7pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton, Texas. Funeral service will be on Thursday, Thursday 5th, 2017, beginning at 1:00pm at East Hill Cemetery in Fort Stockton, Texas.
