Derek Olvera

Derek Mark Olvera of Marathon passed away Saturday, August 20th, 2016, in Dallas at the age of 38 years. Derek was born on May 20, 1978 to Guadalupe Garcia Olvera in Alpine, Texas.
Derek is survived by his son, Jordan Diego Olvera; his daughters, Karissa Olvera, Alyssa Olvera; his brother, David Ray Olvera and wife Misty; and his nephews, Alban, Thomas, David, and Antonio Olvera.
Derek is preceded in death by his grandparents, Longino and Antonia Olvera; and his uncles, Angel and Joe Olvera.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 26th, 2016, from 11-5pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton, Texas. The Rosary will begin at 7pm at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Marathon, TX. Funeral service will begin at 10am on Saturday, August 27th, 2016, at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Marathon, Texas. Burial will be at Marathon Cemetery in Marathon, Texas.
