Christina Elizabeth Salazar Valles was born on November 8, 1957 in Sanderson, Tx and passed away peacefully on October 3, 2026 in San Angelo, Tx, surrounded by the love of her family.
Christina lived a simple life, but one that was rich beyond measure in all the ways that mattered most. Her greatest treasures were never material things, but the people she loved, the memories they created together, and the family that meant everything to her.
For 53 years, Christina shared her life with her devoted husband, David. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around love and family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose family was always at the heart of everything she did.
Christina found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved reading, being on the golf course, spending time crafting, and relaxing in her yard with her beloved dogs, Ruby and Max. These moments reflected her warm spirit and her appreciation for the beauty and happiness found in everyday life.
Christina is survived by her loving husband, David Valles; her son, John David Valles, and his wife, Cassie; her daughter, Jennifer Stein, and her husband, Daniel; and her beloved grandchildren, Alexis Valles, Samantha Bean, Brandon Valles, Kaitlin Gann, Caleb Valles and great granddaughter Athena Bean. She is also survived by her mother, Maria Salazar; her siblings, Anna Chalambaga, Juan Salazar, Carlos Salazar, Mario Salazar, Angie Ball, Ralph Salazar, and Julie Singleton, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Juan Salazar, and her sisters, Bertha Lomas and Yolanda Barrera.
Christina will be remembered most for the love she had for her family and the life she and David created together over more than five decades. Her greatest legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren, and all those fortunate enough to have been loved by her.
While her absence leaves an immeasurable emptiness, the love Christina gave throughout her life will remain forever in the hearts of her family. They will hold tightly to the memories, laughter, traditions, and countless moments they were blessed to share with her until they are together again.
A life simply lived. A family deeply loved. A legacy that will never be forgotten.
Viewing will be on Friday, October 9, 2026, at St. James Catholic Church starting at 9:00am with a Rosary at 10:00am. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00am with burial at Santa Rita Cemetery in Sanderson, Texas.
