Carrie Gray

Carrie Dale Gray of Fort Stockton passed away Saturday July 2nd, 2016, at the age of 47. Carrie was born on August 13, 1968, to Gary and Gayle Gray in Fort Stockton, Texas. Carrie received her Cosmetology License in 1983 and worked with hair professionally until 1999 and then on the side for the rest of her life. In 1999, she went to work serving the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. She served the public as a correctional officer in various West Texas facilities for sixteen years.
In 2004, she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. She battled the disease with the support of her family and friends and was a survivor. She was cancer free in 2010.
Carrie is survived by her parents, Gary and Gayle Gray; her daughter, Chelsea Esparza; her brothers, Ricky Williams, and Randy Williams; her sister, LaVonda Vezie; her nine nieces and nephews; and her sixteen great nieces and nephews. She was an amazing daughter, mother, sister, aunt and a friend to many.
