Carlos Lopez

Carlos "Charlie" Lopez of Sanderson, Texas passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016, in Midland, Texas at the age of 62 years. Carlos was born on September 19, 1953, to Francisco Lopez Jr. and Consuelo Cerda Lopez. Carlos was a devout Catholic and a permanent resident of Sanderson, Texas for 62 years. Carlos was a simple man who always greeted you and any situation with a smile and a good joke. The outdoors was his second home whether it was trapping, deer hunting, maintaining his animals, welding, cutting wood, or simply enjoying the day at his favorite picnic table. He was a hardworking man who always provided for his family and loved ones. His love for his grandchildren was unparalleled. He loved each one of them deeply and will be greatly missed by his family and loved ones.
Carlos is survived by his wife: Graciela Castro Lopez; his mother: Consuelo Cerda Lopez; his son: Francisco and Tiffany Lopez of Sanderson, TX; his daughters: Alma and Richard Duran of Midland, TX, and Christina Lopez of Sanderson, TX; his brothers: Oscar and George Lopez; his sister: Rosalinda Luevano, and his grandchildren: Camry, Michelle, Caden, Angel, Joseph, Jake, Anthony, and Jordan.
Carlos was preceded in death by his father Francisco Lopez Jr.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 24th, 2016 from 6pm to 7pm at St. James Catholic Church in Sanderson. Rosary will be recited at 7pm on Wednesday night. The funeral service will be on Thursday, February 25th, 2016 at 11am at St. James Catholic Church in Sanderson.
