Bertha Marquez

Bertha Marquez, age 83, passed away Wednesday, June 26. Bertha was born on November 4, 1929 in Sanderson, Texas . She was the only child of Pilar Rodriquez and Consuelo Villareal Rodriguez. She was a lifelong resident of Sanderson. On January 3, 1949, she married Jesus Marquez. Bertha wa selfemployed. Her hobbies included playing piano and playing the organ at her church, and she enjoyed painting. She was a dedicated member of her church, El Buen Pastor United Methodist Church in Sanderson. She had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and was a devoted, loving Mother. Mrs. Marquez is survived by her daughters, Belinda Arredondo and husband Raymundo of El Paso, Rosella Bilano and Liz Castellano of Sanderson by 8 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Marquez was preceded in death by her parents, Pilar Consuelo Rodriguez her husband Jesus Marquez her son Reymario Marquez. Visitation will take place at El Buen Pastor UMC in Sanderson on Saturday, June 29 from 9:0011:00 a.m. . Funeral service will begin there at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the cemetery in Sanderson. Heritage Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
