Barbara Apshire

Barbara Ann Apshire, 87, passed away peacefully at home on September 6, 2025.

Barbara was born on July 24, 1938 to her parents, Lewis William and Jewell Colvin. As she grew, she surrounded by her cousins and siblings. She grew up to marry the love of her life, Gyron Pat Apshire, in 1955. She worked as a dispatcher and jailer in multiple counties while raising her two beloved daughters and helping with her many grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lewis William Colvin and Jewell Colvin, her husband of 44 years, Gyron Pat Apshire, her daughter, Robyn Renee Brown, her brothers Kenneth Leon ("Sonny") Colvin, Jimmy Lewis Colvin, her sisters Merleen Colvin and Nancy Wright, along with her many aunts and uncles.

She was survived by her sister, Peggy Labouve, her daughter, Lisa Oakley, her sons-in-law, Warren Oakley and Billy Brown, her grandchildren Mandy Hall and Luke Brown, her great grandchildren Sidney Minter, Madison Minter, Clayton Hall, Carlee Hall, and Mckenli Thompson. Her two great great sons Brayden and Brantley Garrison, and her great great granddaughter Reese Hall. Along with many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Barbara was known for her wonderful cooking and love of television. She was a devoted sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will forever be cherished and missed.
