Viewing will be on Saturday, August 15, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a Funeral Service starting at 1:00 PM at the Buena Vista Auditorium in Imperial, Texas.  Interment will follow at Imperial Cemetery.  

Arcadio “Cario” Flores, 69, was called to his heavenly home on August 3, 2026, in Imperial, Texas.

Arcadio was born to Manuel G. Flores and Jeronima Rey on December 16, 1956, in Fort Stockton, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of Imperial. He graduated from Buena Vista High School and, shortly after graduation, entered the United States Air Force. While serving in the Air Force, he worked as an Aircraft Pneudraulic Systems Mechanic. After four years of service, Cario received an Honorable Discharge as an Airman First Class (A1C).

Following his military service, Cario went to work for Buena Vista ISD as a maintenance employee, where he worked for 20 years before retiring in 2020. Cario also volunteered as a groundskeeper at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Imperial.

Cario was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Jeronima Flores, and his brothers, Freddie and Jesse Flores.

Cario is survived by his daughter, Jasmine Boyd (Heath) of Hobbs, New Mexico; two granddaughters, June and Cora Boyd; and his siblings, Elvira Rodriguez of Alice; Armando Flores of San Antonio; Minnie Ramirez (Juan) of Crane; Linda Alfaro of San Antonio; and Nupy Flores (Robin) of Kopperl. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Pallbearers are Roy Ramirez, Chris Alfaro, Justin Alfaro, Manny Flores, Tony Flores, and Armando Flores, Jr.

The family of Arcadio Flores wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Prissy Bueno, Alfredo Romero, Nelly McDowell, and the community of Imperial for being there and providing support for Cario.

Cario will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
