Antonio Lara

Antonio Lara, age 89, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013. Antonio was born on June 13, 1924 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico to Luis and Santos Carnero Lara. He and his family have been residents of Fort Stockton since 2000.
Mr. Lara is survived by 2 sons and 3 daughters. They are: Manuel Lara, Odessa, TX, Alonso Lara, Cactus, TX, Luz Elena Lara, Fort Stockton, TX, Maria Lara, Sunray, TX, and Lupita Sanchez of Fort Stockton. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Teofila Olivas and Felipa Pia, both of whom reside in Mexico. Mr. Lara was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters. They are: Jose Lara, Pedro Lara, Luiz Lara, Timoteo Lara, Manuel Lara, Rosalia Olivas and Cristina Garcia.
Visitation for family and friends will take place on Thursday, September 26, 10:00 a.m.7:00p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in downtown Fort Stockton. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday, September 27 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Fort Stockton.
