Robert Miller

Robert John Miller of Fort Stockton, TX passed away Monday, April 1, 2019, at the age of 83 years. He was born on August 6, 1935 in Marfa, Texas, to John and Maria Miller.
Robert graduated in May of 1954 from Marfa High School and joined the military soon after. He married Estella Ramirez on November 24, 1954 in Marfa, TX. For the next 22 years, he served our country with honor, retiring in August of 1975. They had two children, Nancy was born January 28, 1956 and Bobby was born December 13, 1958, both in San Antonio, Texas. After retiring from the military, they moved to Midland, Texas where he started working in butcher shops. In 1982, Robert and Estella moved to Fort Stockton where they opened Miller Meat Market. The market is now run by their son Bobby with the help of Nancy. His legacy is his family. The love he gave his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews will last for years to come.
Robert is survived by his wife, Estella Miller; his son, Robert "Bobby" Miller Jr. and wife Vickie of Fort Stockton; his daughter, Nancy Salazar of Fort Stockton; his brother, Benjamin Miller and wife Diane of Los Angeles; his sisters, Josephine Miller of Midland, Alicia Macias of El Paso; his grandchildren, Crystal Pedersen of Little Rock, Maria Gomez of Round Rock, Derek Miller of Kerville, Brian Rodriguez of Fort Stockton, Samantha Miller of Fort Stockton, Monique Miller of Fort Stockton; his thirteen great grandchildren; and his two great great grandchildren.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents; John and Maria Miller; his brother, John Miller; his sister, Mary Lou Marquez.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 4, 2019, from 12pm-7pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton, Texas, with Rosary at 7pm. Funeral Services will be Friday, April 5, 2019, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Downtown Campus at 10 am in Fort Stockton, Texas, burial to follow at Fort Stockton Cemetery in Fort Stockton, Texas.
