Raul Acosta

Raul "Wooly" Ontiveros Acosta of Fort Stockton passed away Friday, June 3, 2016, in San Antonio at the age of 58 years. Raul was born on March 18, 1958, to Antonio and Lasara Acosta in Fort Stockton, Texas.
Raul will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a proud and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. Raul never met a stranger he didn't like. Always making the time to talk and get to know a person. Raul also had a one of a kind personality with an amazing sense of humor, never missing an opportunity to tell a joke. He was a very outgoing person who lived his life to the fullest. Often telling his family when it was his time to be called home by our Lord, that he would be happy because he lived a good life.
Raul is survived by his wife, Frances Acosta; his son, Jason Acosta and wife Vanesa of Fort Stockton; his daughters, Amanda Acosta and Allison Chavarria; his brothers, Tony Acosta, Fidel Acosta and Robert Acosta; his sisters, Lupe Rey, Martha Garcia, Tina Lopez, and Yolanda Mejia; his grandchildren, Jacob Sabell, Jayli Acosta, Amaya Acosta, Jayden Acosta, Annalie Acosta, Avery Marquez, and Layla Subia.
Raul is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Lasara Acosta; his daughter, Tracie Ann Acosta; his grandparents, Seferino Ontiveros and wife Dolores Moreno Ontiveros, Fermin Acosta and wife Guadalupe Saldana Acosta; his in-laws, Lorenzo Subia and Isidora Subia.
Visitation will be from 1pm to 7pm on Monday, June 6th, 2016, and from 9am to 7pm Tuesday, June 7th, 2016 at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton, Texas. Rosary will be recited at 7pm on Tuesday, June 7th, 2016 at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 10:00am on June 8th, 2016, at Saint. Agnes Catholic Church in Fort Stockton, Texas. Burial will be at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery in Fort Stockton, Texas.
