Jose V. Hinostroza “Chomo” from Fort Stockton, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2020, at the age of 76. He was born March 19, 1943 in Mexico. Jose “Chomo” was a rancher and ranched in Pecos County.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Enedina Sanchez Hinostroza, of Fort Stockton; sons Jose Hinostroza, Jr. and wife Liliana, of Fort Stockton, Joel Hinostroza and wife Diana, of Fort Stockton, and Esgar Hinostroza and wife Blanca, of Fort Stockton; daughters Maribel Hinostroza and husband Alfredo, of Fort Stockton, Dora De La Rosa and husband Jose Alfredo of Fort Stockton, Zulema Hinostroza of Fort Stockton, Maricela Hinostroza and husband Manuel of Midland, Texas, Jesica Hinostroza of San Angelo, Texas, Diavilet Hinostroza and husband Jose of Fort Stockton; brother Juan Hinostroza; sister Margarita Rodriguez; thirty one grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.
Jose “Chomo” was a hard working man who loved to ride horses and round up cows on his ranch. Most of all, he loved all his children and grandchildren. He wasn’t a good dancer but he enjoyed norteno music. He was very good-hearted and enjoyed helping anyone in need.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Agustin Hinostroza and Andrea Vasquez; a brother Gilberto Hinostroza; and a sister Lucinda Gonzales.
Visitation for Jose “Chomo” Hinostroza will be on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, from 1-7PM with a Rosary to follow from 7-8PM at Heritage Funeral Home, 301 N. Main, in Fort Stockton. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at 10AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe, Downtown Campus, 403 S. Main, Fort Stockton, with burial to follow at the Catholic Cemetery.
