Concepcion Concha Armendariz passed away on Friday, Nov. 7, 2014 at the age of 84. Concha was born in Mexico on December 4, 1929 to Manuel and Adela Sanchez Vizcaino. She married Manuel Armendariz Rey on Jan. 19, 1950 and they were united for 55 years until his death in 2005. Concha had one great passion, and that was to travel. She traveled to many places and was always ready to go somewhere when the opportunity came.
Concepcion is survived by 3 sons and 4 daughters. Her sons are Jaime Armendariz and wife Teresa of Fort Stockton, Ricardo Armendariz of Fort Stockton, and Victor Armendariz and wife Martha of Pasadena, Texas. Her daughters are Gloria Armendariz and husband Roberto of Mexico Lupe Hererra and husband Ramon of Albuquerque, NM Norma Armendariz and husband Juan Ramon of Mexico Griselda Padilla and husband German of Fort Stockton. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 32 greatgrandchildren and 1 greatgreat grandchild. Concha was preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Adela her husband Manuel 3 sons, Jesus Manuel, Elco and Alfonso Armendariz 2 sisters, Eva Dominguez and Estela Valdez 4 brothers, Efrain, Arturo, Wilfrido and Manuel Vizcaino.
Visitation will take place at Heritage Funeral Home, Fort Stockton on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 12noon till 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Another visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, November 10, 2014 followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery. Ramon Herrera will officiate the service. Pallbearers will include Jose Galindo, Jr., Jaime Armendariz, Javier Armendariz, Elco Armendariz, Alfredo Armendariz and Jesus Manuel Armendariz.
